I know that most reviews are from folks that had a negative experience, so I felt obligated to say something positive for a change. The reality is, since positive experiences are EXPECTED from companies, most people don't feel the need to write about something that positive because it should go without saying. I have had TWO good experiences with Allied Home Warranty over the past 7 days and I thought I would share it… I purchased my home warranty after I had a major repair with my A/C unit. I am GLAD I did!! Within 3 weeks of getting my warranty with Allied, my second A/C unit (less than 6 yrs old) went out. I placed my service request using the iPhone app and received an email immediately saying that they have received my request and someone will let me know something within 4 business hours. (It was a Sunday, so I didn't expect a call until Monday). When I did get a call, the company that they first assigned to me could not get to my house until Thursday, but it was 110 degrees and I thought that was unacceptable. I called to see if there was anybody else they could send and they immediately rescheduled me with a company that could come sooner. The man from Midland A/C showed up when he said he would and replaced the motor in my outside A/C unit. He was in and out in 45 minutes. I only had to pay the $60. As I type this, there are two plumbers from First Choice Plumbing working on a leaking toilet and a leaking drain in my wall. I sent the request last night and they are working now. At first there had to be some negotiating with the plumber and Allied but in the end, I am only paying $60 for around $600 in work. Between the A/C and the plumbing, my warranty has already paid for itself! So far so good. I am going to post this wherever I can… |

I just wanted to comment on the outstanding service I received from Blue Ribbon today. I have had BRHW for about 5 years now and every time I have an issue they are always prompt to resolve it. Today was no different, I came home last night to a flooded garage, from an overflowing water heater. I called BRHW and the next morning they had someone out to take care of the problem. When it came to replacing the water heater the contactor called for approval and installed it immediately, and filled it up, and hauled the old one away. I now have hot water again with no out of pocket costs. thank you so much Blue Ribbon for all you do. I will never let my contract expire with service like this. Longmont, CO |

So far so good! Have had this coverage for almost 2 years. Minor plunbing issues were resolved. I have just called for plumbing service again. Was able to get the same plumber as before, all I had to do was ask for them. I do get frustrated with not reading the "fine" print and thinking I had coverage. |

I had call Allied Home Warranty about my Bosch dishwasher not draining at 9:15am. H&S Appliance Repair called me within 30mins. They came out that afternoon and 25mins later I was up and running again. |

My AC is broken and filed a claim. They ask for 2 commercial maintenance records for the air condition. (I don't know where is limitation on the warranty, which they said it is on website). Lucky I have the records. I sent record to them, they told me the record is not enough, they have to talk to the company. Ask me to make the Company call them. It is ridiculous. Lesson learned. Hope other will not make same mistake. DO NOT BUY WARRANTY FROM "SENSIBLE HOME WARRANTY" |

The website to request service is difficult to locate, then the choices for service are incomplete and impossible to make an accurate request. The service providers are slow to respond and slower to schedule service. It takes days to get a technician. Is running water an emergency to AHS? No. They tell you to shut it off at the street. When the technician finally arrives, they never have the parts, and when they are finished, expect to have to call for a re-call to fix the fix that didn't get fixed the first time. 3 of 4 different plumbers that do work for AHS will never be allowed in my home again. That is 75% of the service requested that has been substandard from the initial call to the final re-work. The one plumber that did decent repair work took over a week to replace a garbage disposer. I used AHS at another house for 12 years from 1987-1999, and the service then was excellent. The service now is horrible. I will never renew nor recommend this company ever again. |
